Frequently asked questions
Does it cost anything?
No. The café is free and so is membership. There's no fee, no dues, and nothing to buy.
Do I have to be sober to come in?
The commitment is to be drug and alcohol free in the café space. People come here at every stage, including their first week.
Do I have to be religious?
No. The guiding principles come from the Recovery Café Network and use the word Love with a capital L, and people read that their own way. Nobody will ask what you believe.
What if I relapse?
Come back. Relapse is part of many people's recovery and it doesn't end your membership.
Can I just come and sit?
Yes. On Tuesdays especially, the café space is always open for connecting, games, coffee, resource sharing, and café companions. You don't have to join anything to be in the room.
What happens at a Recovery Circle?
It's a small peer group that meets weekly. The point is to reduce isolation, hear honest feedback, and have people who notice when you're not there.
Come to a New Member Intro.
1:15 PM, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Park at the rear and ring the bell.
